Tyrone started in “Sales and Customer Service” in the late 1950’s working for H.G.Palmers – the Biggest Electrical Retailer in Australia. He received the Top Sales/Customer Service Awards in Queensland at the age of 19.
In 1971, he decided to get into Real Estate and opened his own office at Margate and has continued in Real Estate for approx. 37 years at Woody Point Village. A profession, when a Customer shook his hand said “You listened to us, noting our Wants/Needs and then found our Dream Home. Thank You”.
This gave Tyrone more satisfaction than the Commission Cheque. This was the greatest experience he ever had. The first day he got into Sales, he was brainwashed to “The Customer is Always Right”. “They are not an interruption to your Job, they are your Job”. “If you did not care for their needs, you will be out of a Job”.
Tyrone and his parents arrived in 1956 where Redcliffe had dirt roads with the OUTDOOR dunnies out the back.
Tyrone grew up and worked on the Peninsula and became a local identity – Serving the Public. Redcliffe’s population then was about 8,000 and today over 55,000.
Tyrone was an active REIQ Member serving on:
- REIQ MLS Qld
- REIQ Arbitration Committee Qld
- Local REIQ Committee Member
